Can i use a 120v to 12v dc converter to power led lights.?
I want to use an AC to DC converter simalar to this one http://www.summitsource.com/product_info.php?ref=1&products_id=6807 to run strip lights that are rated for a 12v car battery. Will this work, is it safe, and will it burn out the leds. Also want to just cut the end off and splice directly to it....Thanks!

- Yes. Should be no problem as long as the strip you have draws less than the 850 mw rating of the supply. The light strip should be marked with it's wattage or mili-wattage usage. You also have to be sure you get the polarity correct when you cut off the plug and patch it in direct.
