How can I cut a strip of metal track lighting track that is too long?
The metal track is standard, about one inch wide with a plastic core inside. I need to shorten it before installing on the ceiling and i am not sure how as I am new to this home improvement stuff and do not own a saw. What do I need? Thank you.

- Use a hacksaw, It will cut thru the metal as well as the plastic.....
- A hack saw will work just fine
