how do i wire lights on my motorcyle to have to strobe effect? i want to wire my "angel eyes",ferring lights, headlights and blinkers to flash with the flip of a switch. kind of like a cop car. is there a special type of regulator that you need or is it a pertetual electrical cut off? any information would be much appriciated. i work in a motorcycle dealership so would be doing the work myself, and as for the legalities of it it would be for "show purposes" only. i was just wondering what tipe of regulators i would need or any other specital type of electrical switchboard.
how do you wire lights on a mini chopper? I was wondering how you wire tail lights, so i have turn signals and break lights... what do i use to make these work ? what other parts are needed other than lights.
How do i wire my puddle lights, side view mirror under light so that it lights up like my dome light? I bought lights on ebay that are meant to light up when my car is unlocked or the door is open. I figured that if i wire the two wires that it came with into the dome light wiring, for (door open) that it would work. Unfortunately when i did so it turned on when the dome lights went off and vice versa. Does anyone know how i could solve this problem. Thanks Main objective:i want the lights to light up whenever my dome light lights up.
How to wire up red LED lights to my tail lights? I have a '01 Pontiac Sunfire. It has a spoiler on it and I was thinking it would look pretty awesome if I hooked up red LED's under the spoiler that would illuminate with the brake and turn signal lights. I've seen it done before with trucks under the tailgate. I just want to know how to do it and where to get six inch red LED light bars that I can wire directly into my light wiring.
How to find the daytime running lights, wire? Im installing new headlights and it requires me to splice the daytime running lights wire. How do I find this? I know this is a shot in the dark. How do I wire a light over the sink with one hot wire with two other lights and switches? I have one junction box over the sink that ties in three switches and three lights. There are only three cables coming into the box, so I assume the hot wire is coming through one of the lights then into the box. When I removed the old light over the sink I didn't analyze the way it was originally set up. How do I connect the new light back into the junction box and make every switch operate their respective lights separately like before.
Can I wire christmas lights into an old light fixture in order to turn on/off with the light switch? I have an outdoor light fixture at the door leading to a covered porch. The porch was added on, and now has overhead lighting, so the old light fixture at the door is never used. I would like to install string lights (or christmas lights) around the interior perimeter of the porch for soft year round lighting and wondering if I could wire them directly into the old light fixture so that I may operate them with the existing light switch. I would be removing the old light fixture.
Why, when wired with two wire hookups to one switch do both lights glow dim when both bulbs are in? I wired two lights from one switch - power into 1st light box, leg down to switch and spliced over to the second light. When I put both bulbs in, both lights glow dim with the switch off. When I flip the switch on the first light turns off and the second comes on bright. I wired with two wire and spliced in series just as though both lights were one. Power is coming into the light box from an outlet, then legged down to th e switch. From there all wires seem to be correctly spliced???? How can the either light be getting power without the switch being on? Only when both bulbs are in the lights glow dim. If only one bulb is in , the light that holds the bulb works correctly. Whta's up?????!!!
How can I wire brake lights to my dirt bike? I have a Yamaha ttr230 and I want to make it street legal. I know how to attach headlights and blinkers but I cant figure out how to wire the brake lights. I have hydrolic front disk brakes and just a long rod attached to a drum bake for my rear. It is electric start by the way. Any help is appreciated! And I live in Mississippi by the way
do you need resistors or is there need to sodder in order to wire LED lights? i have LED bulbs but i don't want to sodder and i don't want to buy resistors. i don't know much about the lights all i know is that they're 5mm. i have about 400 of them that i want to hook up to one of those big lantern batteries. i was planning on just sticking them to wire then the battery but the red ones burn out. the blue and green ones work fine but they get really hot
Low Voltage garden lights wire break? I planted my flowers yesterday and now half of my low-voltage lights are out. Is it correct to assume that I will find the break at the first light that is out? Do they light in succession of the wire?
How to wire LED reverse lights on 2002 Silverado? I am a local firefighter. I have LED surface mount lights on the rear of my 2002 Silverado 2500HD. I have them wired to a switchbox for when I need them. But can I just hardware them to the reverse light wires to make them come on when backing up? I want to add them for reverse for visibility at night. Oh yeah. Also when I flip the switch to turn the LEDs on, won't the reverse lights come on too?

I am putting in a new kitchen and I am looking to hardwire three under cabinet puck lights that will all be on the same switch as a 4" pot light that will shine down over the window. I know the puck lights require a different voltage so how do I hard wire these lights before I put my drywall in?
How do I wire neon lights to my parking lights? I have a 2007 Mazda 6 and i have four neon (they're actually L.E.D.) light bars that I want to turn on (and stay on) when I turn on my head lights (or parking lights). How to wire up driving lights to a subaru vortex? I have wired the lights through a relay,but when the lights are turned off the spotlights come on and the popup lights remain up, if I turn off the spotlight switch the popups go down and the spotties go out. how to wire exterior lights? i am new to wiring electricity, i bought a book to give me the basics, what i need to know is how to wire 2 exterior lights to one switch. from what the book told me the 2 blacks get screwed to the screws, and the 2 whites get pigtailed together, and the copper goes to the screw. but since there are 2 fixtures. that makes 3 sets of wires coming to the switch. one from the breaker box and the 2 from the fixtures. what is the best or safest way to wire 2 light fixtures to one switch. the only thing i can think of is to splice the fixture wires into one. would this work?
How do I wire trailer lights on my 2009 Focus? I will be buying a hitch and a 5' x 8' trailer for my 2009 Focus SES.
