Need some help on LED brightness comparison? Hi everyone, I'm planning on installing LED lights in the interior of my car. I've read about the legality, and it seems that green lights are legal on the interior. I have found suppliers that offer a 23,000 mcd LED with a viewing angle of 15 degrees, and another LED that is rated at 8,000 mcd and has a viewing angle of 10 degrees. I want something that will produce a bright glow, as the light bars will be hidden from direct view. There will be an LED every 1/2" of the light bars. None of the commercial light bar manufacturers are able to supply me with either a lumen rating or a candela rating, so I have nothing to compare this with. I have little experience with lighting but a fair amount of experience with circuits and the like. Which would be the better buy for me, in terms of brightness? Is the higher mcd rating a brighter LED, and is 23,000 mcd bright enough for my application?
Power LED anchor light, where do I get one? I saw a fellow boater who had an LED anchor light that activated like a power antenna on a car. He just pressed a button and up it came. Should Chinese manufacturers worry about the new "Made in America" light bulbs that cost US$50 each? Incandescent light bulbs will become a thing of the past in America on January 1, 2012. Stores will legally be prohibited from selling them, due to their energy inefficiency. Unfortunately, America has not developed a good replacement yet. A new "Made in America" 100 watt LED bulb was recently introduced, but each bulb costs US$50. LED T8 Tube lamps 4500K, 6500k? Color Temperature of 4500K is Warm White 6500K is Day Light. I saw on other manufacturers of LED T8 Tube lamps that 3000K is Warm White and 5000K is Daylight I'm confused about these ratings. My question is, does these ratings solely depends on the Manufacturers? Or is it the same on every manufacturer? For example Manufacturer A said 4500K is Warm White. Should Manufacturer B also say that their LED lamps are 4500K Warm white? Im so confused about this. Please help!
What underwater lighting do i need for my pool? We are building a bog standard 8m x 4m (13x26 foot) indoor pool and i am not sure what lighting (ie halogen or led - leaning towards led), and what power lighting to get. ideally i want colour changing lights, but mite have to settle for various coloured bulbs in a DMX array. some manufacturers have suggested that i utilise 30 9x3w led bulbs to light the whole pool, whereas one supplier suggested i only need one light per colour. 30 does seem an awful lot and i have a sneaking suspicion the manufacturer is jus trying to get me to make a larger purchase . Does anybody have any suggestions for me? On a side note, what colour tiles would work best to fully utilise the colours lights? Also, how could i get a midnight blue colour effect? Any help would be appreciated

Photographers... need lighting advice? Hi, Im an amateur Photographer well I purchased two umbrella light kits. They came with two 45 watt fluoroscent bulbs. Well, it didn't seem bright enough so the manufacturer said I could go to Lowes and get stronger light bulbs. So I went and got two soft-yellow bulbs at 100 watts. It was about the same as the fluoroscent bulb in terms of lighting, it didn't do much. What are good, bright bulbs I could get that would increase lighting that could go on my lighting kit? Any sites or stores? Someone recommended a fluoroscent LED flood light at 75 watts.. but they may not be bright enough? any help, thanks
Can anyone help me install led accent lights on my 04 gsxr.? The manufacturer gave these bs instructions that you can do yourself, while all that may be true i dont have ANY electrical knowledge. the sad part is if no one can help i'll be out 400 dollars, that is what the service dept will charge me. the kit also brings a remote control that is separate from the kit.

Can't find LED Christmas lights? I look for these lights every year, but can't find them. Okay, at Home Depot they have an artificial tree on display with the purest, most piercing colors. Specifically, the gamut in this set includes purple and blue. After some searching, I have found that the model on display is the following: Sylvania 7 Ft. Pre-Lit Augusta Pine Tree with 300 Multi-Color LED M5 Lights Model # V68026-48 I've tried a set of the Sylvania multi-colored LED with similar shaped bulbs as on their tree, but the colors are wrong (i.e. too much yellow and red and not enough on the blue/ purple end). Is this a case of a manufacturer making sure no real tree looks as good as their fake tree?
My computer doesn't turn on, how can i fix this? When I turn on my computer, the LED lights go on, but it seems like the fan doesn't turn on. I cant send it to the computers manufacturers because my warranty recently ended. By the way, the computer is a HP Pavillion dv2000
how do you get moisture out of your headlights? i have a set of aftermarket headlights and the manufacturer stated that there can be moisture in them when you use them for the first few days especially in wet or cold weather and environment. It's been a few weeks now, the moisture is not so bad but it's fogging up where my LED's light up. Does anyone know any good and proven tips to get rid of the moisture?
