Can I modify my current led bicycle light with a more powerful led? I am currently using a led headlight from a bicycle lighting company but recently my dated led headlight that produces 150 lumens fails in comparison with the newer headlights on the market. So I have been researching newer led's that produces massive lumen outputs. I have settled on one led in particular and its the SST-90. I want to know if I can simply solder the new led into position and it work. My battery is a 6 volt 3ah NiMH.
Interior LED lights for my car? I'm trying to find a set of 4 strands or tubes of MULTI COLOR LED lights that will change colors everytime my subs hit. I've seen some sets of neon lights that will do that but i live in Illinois where it's cold and I don't want the neon to freeze up on me. How do I power my LED lights? I have 2 vessel sink lighted mounting rings (with LED lights embedded in them) and 2 cabinet LED puck lights. All lights are white. The company that makes them say they "can be hardwired by using a 12 volt DC transformer". How do I do this? I'd like them all on the same switch, by the way.

California, Canada and now Europe are passing laws to prohibit the sale of energy wasting incandescent light bulbs by as early as 2012. The new LED lightbulbs which are just starting to appear typically have lives of 600,000 hours and use much less energy than the the incandescents. It is estimated that lighting accounts for up to 20% of the electrical energy used in the US. It is hoped that by legistlating this technology it will speed it's adoption. Does anyone know what companies hold patents on this technology and stands to benefit the most from it. I would like to invest if their stock is not already through the roof.
can i install LED lights on my car using different manufactures? i want to install a few lights on my car ,however i have several wants. the company's i am looking to get lights from are following ORACLE LIGHTING LED STRIPS( night rider kit) LED GLOW (foot well , and under carraige) LIGHT GLOW just want to know if they can all work together to be turned on and off at the same time , using one single switch or remote. Incandescent to LED lighting question.? I own an '07 Milan and im looking to change all four turn signals and two side markers over to LED. but, everywhere I look I see different answers on "this requires re-wiring", "no wiring required" "works with some models" "works with all models". I've seen the ones on eBay, and it seems too good to be true that they'll so cheap compared to companies. are they just as good, or no? I cant seem to get a straight answer anywhere, so I'm hoping for one here. i'm looking for a reputable store online or retail, and would like to know what I need to before I decide to buy anything. Why do "white" LED lights have a bluish hue? I bought white LED lights for use around the house several times, and they all have a cool blueish hue to them. (I understand that some companies use a phosphor material and that semiconductors have a band gap, which may not allow for a pure yellow-white color like an incandescent light bulb.)

We work with other power supply companies who develops the circuit for the LEDS. All i have been doing here for the past 2 months is to do some itty bitty testing like check if all the led's light up, or whats the leakage current is. I would really like to contribute more to this company, but honestly i don't know how can i use my electrical engineering skills here. Any help on this issue from anyone is really appreciated.

LED companies to invest in? I'm planning to invest for the first time (yes, I've been paying attention to the market reports in the last week), and I'm thinking LEDs should be a safe and strong investment, but I don't know who makes them. I work in entertainment, and we use LEDs for lights and video. I know they're also used in cars, and that, at least in California, it's been mandated that they completely replace incandescent bulbs. It seems like they're everywhere. Who makes them, and any ideas on who is the biggest and best manufacturer? GE and Phillips are probably a great place to start, and I will check them out. LEDs make it into so many different kinds of technology, and I was trying to figure out who makes the LEDs as opposed to who installs them in their devices. But you're right, and it's probably companies like GE and Philips. Thanks.

What are the best LED flashlights out there? A friend of mine let me borrow his surefire led flashlight to take camping. It was awesome. Small, light, tough, very bright and waterproof. I know that surefires are expensive. But are they the best? Are there any other companies that make similar or better LED flashlights? Cheaper? The main thing I want them to have is to be tough, reliable, bright and waterproof. A lifetime warranty or better would be awesome as well as it seems that most if not all of surefire's flashlights come with one.
